Using only a 2’ length of 4 x 4, I had to create a structure that could support the weight of a person. As a challenge I decided to make my structure also serve another function, moving with the user for increased comfort and usability.
This was achieved through adding a curve to the corners of the base along with added reinforcing splines to prevent breakages. This allows for the bottom to be mostly flat, so the user feels secure while sitting but can still move around more freely
